"I have been wanting to come here ever since I read about Rockfield House in the Vegetarian Society magazine and have not been disappointed! The setting is superb, as has been the welcome. Everything has been thought of for the guests - the accommodation is excellent and, very importantly, very clean - and the upstairs shower deserves particular mention for its size and efficiency. It was a joy to have gourmet veggie food - giant breakfasts and imaginative dinners. Thank you."

"We have just returned from our second stay at Rockfield House and once again found the facilities more than met our needs. The rooms are lovely and clean, and have one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. The en suite bathroom housed a lovely shower and stand alone big bath for relaxing after a walk in the peaks.
The view from the bay window is beautiful and you are made very welcome in the communal area to enjoy the authentic log fire.
Kate's home made baking was delicious and I even came away with two of her recipes. I can certainly recommend eating at Rockfield House and both Kate and Martin are always willing to adapt the food to your needs. There is a good variety on the menu and not simply the 'normal' vegetarian options.
We will certainly return again and have found that even in the winter Rockfield House makes a lovely break with nice walks to the local pubs and a warm welcome and open fire when you return.
